Early Childhood students partner for a good cause

by Annika Freiburger

Grand Rapids, Minn – Students in Minnesota North College’s Early Childhood program from the Itasca campus collaborated with the Grand Rapids Area Children’s Library to create Interactive Development Kits that will soon be in circulation for families and caregivers of young children.

The kits were the culmination of learning that MNC students did throughout a course in child development.  They are designed for specific developmental ages, from 6 months to 5 years.  The books and activities included in each kit are not only developmentally appropriate, but have been chosen because they are highly interactive for children and adults.

This project was generously funded by the Itasca Campus Foundation in cooperation with the Grand Rapids Area Library.
