We are excited you have chosen to apply to Minnesota North College! Below, you will find a list of items to prepare and be ready for when you are going through the application process depending if you are a new student, returning student, or transfer student. International students, there are a few additional steps required in the application process.

    • Star ID and Password
      • Before you begin the application, you will be prompted to create your Star ID and password.
    • Required Application Fee
      • For your application to be processed, Minnesota North requires a non-refundable $20 application fee. This fee can be paid online after you apply, through your E-Services account, or by sending the payment directly to:

  2. Submit Required Documentation
    • High School Transcripts or GED Transcripts
      • Contact your high school to learn how to request an official copy of your high school transcript and have it sent to the admissions office at admissions@minnesotanorth.edu. You will need to send a transcript at the time of application and an official final copy after graduation.

    • Immunization Records
      • Applicants must supply documentation (month and year) of immunization against mumps, measles, rubella, and tetanus. This requirement is waived if you graduated from a Minnesota High School in 1997 or later. Click here for the Immunization Form.
    • College Transcripts
      • Students that have attended college previously, are transferring into Minnesota North, or have college credit classes while in high school need to send an official college transcript. Contact the college that you attended or received credits from to find out their process for getting this transcript to Minnesota North.
  3. Sign-up For College Orientation and Registration Session
    • College Orientation and Registration Sessions are designed for students to complete their pre-college process and become a Minnesota North Student.
    • During an Orientation and Registration session, students will be appropriately placed in courses, get registered for classes at the campus of their choice, have an opportunity to tour the campus, meet with faculty, and learn about Minnesota North.

  5. Pay Your Tuition
    • Payment of tuition and housing MUST be made before the start of the academic semester. Students who have not paid or made appropriate payment arrangements (apply for financial aid or set-up a payment plan) may be dropped from courses.
    • To help you meet your educational expenses, we are proud to offer the Minnesota North Payment Plan – a convenient, interest free, payment plan. This is NOT a loan program. You have no debt, there are no interest or finance charges and there is no credit check.

    • Minnesota North College Bookstores provide all required textbooks and course materials for your courses.

      1. You will log-in to the application with your Star ID and password. If you do not remember your Star ID or password, you can retrieve your ID and reset your password through StarID Self Service.
    2. Reapply to Minnesota North College by completing a new online application
      • Step-by-step instructions on how to reapply to Minnesota North College.
      • PSEO and CIS students must reapply as an undergrad student using the instructions above.
      • If you’ve taken CIS courses with Minnesota North College and wish to apply for the PSEO program, you DO NOT need to reapply. Find and complete the PSEO forms here and then contact the campus that you wish to attend for directions on where to send the forms.

      1. Students will need to update any records that have changed since their last date of attendance. This may include immunization records, change of address information, new transcripts, or other required documents.
