Clubs and Organizations

The Department of Student Life hosts many fun and informational events throughout the year.

For fun: Billiard Night (trip to the local billiard lounge); College Night Dances at the Grand Ely Lodge; trip to Duluth Bentleyville “Tour of Lights”, Day trips canoeing, xc Skiing, and snowshoeing; Welcome BBQ; and more!

To enhance student learning: Voter Education Week, Black History Month, Earth Day, guest speakers, and more!

All events are free for students. Make sure to follow us on social media and watch our student life activity bulletin boards.

Student Clubs & Organizations provide an opportunity for students to get involved on campus, develop connections with fellow students, and gain leadership experience, while enriching the college experience for all students. Please attend the Annual Club day to see which clubs are active and to get more information!

Don’t see a club that interests you? New clubs can be approved by Student Senate. Student Senate Meets at noon on Thursdays in cc102 (the Conference room across from the cafeteria).

Intramurals such as football, volleyball, basketball, pickleball, dodgeball and tennis are offered at Vermilion. An intramural schedule supplements the intercollegiate athletic program and provides students with opportunities for participation in intramural activities. Students who are not involved in intercollegiate athletics are encouraged to participate in these programs.

Located near the Boundary Waters, we have a passion for the outdoors at Vermilion. Students will find access to outdoor equipment for a small fee for them to use.
