We are excited to celebrate the class of 2026!
Where to Apply
Graduation Application
All students are required to fill out the graduation application in order to walk at any of the ceremonies.
Important Information for Graduates
Graduation Regalia
Caps, Gowns, and Tassels are required for students to wear at the graduation ceremonies. Students are encouraged to pre-order their graduation regalia. Online ordering of graduation regalia is available now. Pre-ordered regalia will be available for shipping or campus pickup beginning early May.
Honor and Veteran cords will be available. Phi Theta Kappa students will have honor stoles and tassels available as well.
Graduation Regalia Protocol
Caps, gowns, and tassels are the only regalia permitted for students participating in Minnesota North College commencement ceremonies.
Students must wear the official Minnesota North College blue graduation gown with a green and blue variegated tassel, along with the approved cap, to participate in commencement.
The following distinctions apply to the standard regalia:
– Academic honor cords will be available to eligible graduates according to College criteria
– Veteran cords may be worn by graduates who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces
– Phi Theta Kappa honor stoles and tassels may be worn by inducted members of the honor society
No additional cords, stoles, sashes, adornments, or accessories are permitted as part of commencement attire during the ceremony. Students may personalize the top of their mortar cap, provided that any decoration does not change the profile, shape, or structure of the cap and does not detract from the ceremony or interfere with the experience of others. Following the conclusion of the commencement ceremony, students may add additional items or accessories to their regalia for personal photographs and celebrations, provided such items are not worn during the formal ceremony itself.
The only exceptions to this regalia limitation are:
Items worn as part of the official operation of the ceremony by individuals serving in designated ceremonial or leadership roles; and
American Indian tribal regalia or objects of cultural significance, which may be worn by American Indian students and are not considered additional regalia.
Students with questions regarding regalia requirements should contact their campus director.
