About This Program

Students interested in both coaching and officiating will find a benefit in adding the coaching certificate to their degree program. With a variety of courses spanning athletic training to theory, students gain a working knowledge of how a team functions. Upon completion, students are eligible to be a certified Minnesota State High School League official.

Program Features

The coaching certificate is designed to help students interested in sports teams specialize their skill set. While this is a stand-alone certificate, the majority of students will use this to bolster their additional associates or bachelor level degree. Some related courses include:

Additional Information

Transferability

The coaching certificate is designed to aid students in their other educational pursuits. This program is designed to be a terminal program and not designed specifically to transfer. However, students may find individual courses may be accepted in transfer by some colleges and universities.
