Current Open Positions
Position duties are not limited to:
– Instruct students in a variety of Biology courses, using student-centered teaching and learning processes.
– Activities related to teaching and learning including, but not limited to: curriculum development, collaborating in learning communities, instructional planning, student evaluation, classroom management, interpersonal relations, promotion of safety and student success.
– Explore and incorporate technology into curriculum delivery, including online and distance-learning instruction. Develop multi-cultural, gender- and disability-fair curriculum to serve a diverse learner population.
– Collaborate work in the larger college community and the local community through a variety of activities (e.g., service on committees, college-wide and program-level assessment, student life, etc.).
– Biology course options include courses such as Human Anatomy and Physiology, Human Biology, Microbiology, General Biology of Cells, Dendrology and Plant Ecology, and General Biology of Organisms and others.

This position involves teaching courses related to the Peace Officer Program, leading the skills components of the PPOE program at Hibbing during the academic year, and overseeing the summer skills program. Duties include coordination with the Minnesota State University Mankato Criminal Justice program for the spring semester skills program at MSUM. Responsibilities will include organizing a wide variety of training components to meet MN POST standards, providing oversight and direction for numerous law enforcement skills instructors, care and upkeep of training equipment, documentation of student performance, pre- and post-reporting to MN POST, and student instruction.
Position duties include but are not limited to:
– Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
– Instruct courses including Customer Automotive Repair, Shop Management and Supervision, and Transmission and Transfer Case Controls.
