Alina Staniger, AAS

Alie Staniger: She has an AAS Degree in Addiction Studies 2019 from Mesabi Range College (Virginia). She started working in 2021 as the Addiction Studies Grant Coordinator and Advisor to DHS Grant recipients. Prior to coming to Minnesota North College, she worked for 7 years as an Addiction Counselor, first in California and then in Minnesota. Alie works as a student resource and is the liaison in the department. She works in many areas to assist students and faculty with positive results that ensure educational success for both the students and program. One of her main capacities in the addiction studies department is working closely with the department head for streamlined course and program delivery. The responsibilities as the grant coordinator vary widely, from grant marketing, recruitment, application review, awarding scholarships, advising, record keeping, tracking success, sustaining relationships with community partners, developing and maintaining resources, and aiding instructors. Her main goal is aimed at producing optimal success for students.
