Orientation
New Student Orientation is Monday August 24th
Day Programs:
Welding
Industrial Mechanical Technology
Graphic Design & Visual Communications
Electrical Controls & Maintenance
New Student Orientation for *ALL daytime programs will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026 at 8:00 am in the Commons. This Orientation will last until approximately 9:45 am and then students will be dismissed to their program areas for the rest of the day.
*This Daytime Orientation does NOT include PN students; they have their own PN Orientation. PN students should contact Devon Luthens for more details.
Evening Programs:
Welding
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
New Student Orientation for ALL evening programs will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026 at 4:00 pm in the Commons. Pizza will be served to the evening students.
· Welding: Class begins at 3:00 pm and will continue following Orientation.
· EMT: Class begins at 5:00 pm or immediately following Orientation.
Students are encouraged to become familiar with the many services available to support your success, including Financial Aid, Student ID services, TRIO Student Support Services (SSS), and tutoring assistance.
Attendance at this orientation is required for all new incoming students. If you have additional questions about orientation, please contact your academic advisor. Your academic advisor is listed at the top of your class schedule, and advisor contact information can be found on the Minnesota North Academic Advising webpage.
Practical Nursing Orientation is held at the Eveleth Campus on Monday, August 24th and is mandatory for all PN students. Orientation begins at 10:00 AM and will conclude at 3:00 PM. If you email your advisor to register you, please inform them your name, which program you are pursuing, as well as your StarID.
