Student Clubs & Organizations provide an opportunity for students to get involved on campus, develop connections with fellow students, and gain leadership experience, while enriching the college experience for all students.


Mesabi Range – Eveleth Clubs
Mission Statement: The National Honors Society for community college students, Phi Theta Kappa, recognizes students who maintain a high academic standing and who have demonstrated leadership and service learning in the college and community. Eligibility requirements are a 3.25 or higher cumulative G.P.A. and completion of at least 12 semester hours. PTK students are recognized at graduation and this distinction is noted on college transcripts.

Purpose: Student Senate is the voice of the student body in matters affecting individual students, student organizations, as well as campus issues, state and national issues and/or legislative actions concerning the Eveleth campus. The Eveleth campus student senate is a member of a state-wide student senate, called LeadMN. For more information on LeadMN, log onto https://www.leadmn.org/
Academic Advisor, Matt Jarva, is a staff member that attends regular meetings so the Student Senators have direct communication with Minnesota North College Eveleth faculty and staff.
Meetings: The Eveleth Student Senate meets each Wednesday at 11:30am in the Commons to discuss student life, events, policy changes, and more.
Why should I join Student Senate? Getting involved is a rewarding experience that you will have while attending Mesabi Range. By joining Student Senate, you will have the opportunity to:

Who can be a part of Student Senate? Student Senate leadership positions are open to any currently enrolled at the Eveleth campus students who are in good standing as defined in the Student senate By-laws, Article III, Section III.
