All veterans may be eligible for educational benefits through the VA educational assistance programs. The Department of Veterans Affairs will determine eligibility and the amount of benefits through the VONAPP (Veterans Online Application). Veterans under 24 are considered independent if they have a complete active duty status, as determined by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
The Minnesota North College campus foundations offer scholarships for the Fall and Spring semesters. A simple, online scholarship application for all Foundation scholarships is usually posted early in the Fall and Spring semesters. The selection criteria differ for each scholarship and campus foundation. Some awards are specific to programs, student goals, or circumstances, while others have more general criteria.
