The Minnesota North College – Itasca Campus in Grand Rapids is seeking to hire a temporary part-time Business/Economics Instructor who is committed to excellence in teaching and learning; using active and experiential learning strategies; creating a student-centered environment; commitment to teaching students from a wide variety of backgrounds and working collaboratively with colleagues to create a successful student learning environment.

Experience and interest in teaching dendrology, natural resource technology, forest inventory, wildlife and/or botany preferred. Candidates should be prepared to teach in person and engage in hands-on, field-based labs.

Biology Education Requirement

· Masters Degree in Biology or Masters degree with 18 graduate credits in field.

NRT Education Requirement

· Bachelor’s degree in natural resources, fish and wildlife, forest resources, or forestry technology, or a bachelor degree with a minimum of 24 semester credits in natural resources, fish and wildlife, forest resources or forestry technology.

· Occupational Experience Requirement: Three full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in forestry, fisheries, or wildlife.

· Recency Requirement: One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology from an American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) accredited program or DVM. Three full-time years (or equivalent) of work experience in veterinary technology.
